Construction of a new single-storey Animal Shelter building (373m²) for Gunnedah Shire Council, comprising 17 animal pens, a covered corridor, reception, office, staff amenities, laundry/vet room/food prep area, undercover washdown area, and a large pen/store room. External works include 2.5m high security fencing and gates, free-range exercise yards, concrete and gravel pavements, a 35,000-litre rainwater tank, landscaping with native plantings, and a new bitumen driveway access from Quia Road. Structure consists of concrete block masonry, engineered timber roof trusses with Colorbond Trimdek roofing, and face brick veneer to external walls.
